Macbeth in post-it-notes (Macbeth Block 2)

Published

Today we read through Macbeth for the first time. We used the Matthews/Ross abridged version which is very KS2 level friendly. The girls made a Post It note for each character and we worked out how all the characters were connected. As we went through the scenes in the book, we moved the characters on and off the “stage”. When the character met their end, they then got moved to the “dead” pile. This activity definitely got the girls more engaged with what was happening to who.
