I found this game on Pinterest and the girls loved it. The aim of the game is to take it in turns to roll the dice and to draw a rectangle using the dice values for the lengths of the sides. They then had to calculate the area and write that in the rectangle. The first person to fill their sheet of paper wins.
We did it as a competition but then the girls happily did it separately too. Once they’d had a few goes with the dice, we then did it with playing cards to make the numbers larger. We decided Jacks were 11, Queens 12 and Kings 13. It was brilliant times table practice too!
