Our whole family loves travel and we all love history. So, we’re at our happiest when we combine the two!
In September 2023 we took a trip to Rome to immerse ourselves in the Roman world and for Peggy to see in real life some of things in the Class Civ textbook. This sparked a deeper love of all things Roman and Greek which continues to this day; she’s looking at a classics degree on the horizon.
In February 2026 we then did the ultimate Class Civ trip; we went to Naples to see Pompeii and Herculaneum, as well as a few other sights. Peggy now dreams of working at Pompeii.

We were absolutely gutted to find that this house was closed off for several months for renovation work when we visited. This is the only view we had by peeking through the gates.
