Daddy had a day off work so we found the only museum to be open near us – Bolton Museum. The girls had both learned about Ancient Egypt at their old school but we still learned plenty of new things. I can’t recommend this museum enough. It has really good child-friendly displays and the staff were happy to talk further about the exhibits. If you were to ask Peggy the best bit, however, she would say that there is a MacDonalds and Greggs opposite each other in the centre of Bolton so you can have your main course in one and your pudding in the other!!!!!
