Perimeter and Area People

To inject a bit of fun into our area/perimeter work, the girls drew their own “Perimeter People” and then worked out the perimeter and area of each aspect of their character. Aggie did a girl and Peggy did a cyborg killer bunny and a hippie! I got this idea from Pinterest, via TeachersPayTeachers, and thought it would be a good way to finish this maths topic off.

Making an edible bar chart

We started off our maths topic on charts by looking at the numbers of each colour in a Smarties tube. You can’t beat edible maths! We used this worksheet from Twinkl to try out a tally chart and then a bar chart.
