The girls have requested to do more art this year, so we made a start today with drawing faces. Using a Twinkl worksheet (How To Draw A Face), we first drew an oval. We then drew a faint vertical line down the middle of the oval to give us a centre point.
Next, we drew a horizontal line about halfway down; one halfway between the middle and the bottom; and a third between the bottom and the second line (if that makes any sense). This then gave us a guide for where to draw our eyes, nose, mouth and ears.
Once we’d sketched in all of the details in pencil (not forgetting hair, of course), we used a black fineliner to go over our lines, and then erased our pencil. And, of course, we coloured them in. These aren’t supposed to look like anybody in particular, by the way. But we might keep going and see if we can make our own version of Guess Who?
