We thought we’d make the most of the amazing weather by making a sun oven. Our mission was to melt some marshmallows to make smores. We turned a normal cardboard box into an oven by lining it with foil and insulating the sides with newspaper. We then angled the lid in such a way as the sun rays were focused in the box and then we covered the whole box in cling film to trap the heat in. As you can see from the pictures, it got up to 45.9 0C in the oven and so our marshmallows did indeed melt. Mission successfully completed!
