Wildcraft – Minecraft in real life!

Published

by Susan

The girls and their friends went on a day in Delamere Forest put on by Forest Explorers with the theme of Minecraft. It was run by Ranger Pete who we did the Stone Age Day with and a navigation course.

Children over 8 didn’t need to be accompanied by an adult so I spent a peaceful four hours in the fabulous onsite cafe whilst the kids went off to have some fun. They had to complete various challenges all based on Minecraft and had to survive a visit from a monster. I’m totally clueless when it comes to Minecraft so I don’t fully understand what they did but their beaming smiles when they got back showed me that they’d enjoyed themselves and made some new friends too. The girls are keen to go on another session like this again as it got a firm 10/10.
