We’d noticed a robin visiting one of our garden pots a lot and wondered if that’s where she’d laid her eggs. We read up quite a bit on robins and how long it takes for eggs to hatch and how the parenting works. A few days later we then heard lots of little chirping noises coming from the same pot. We had a sneaky look and saw the tiniest robin chick in a nest!
We watched the parent coming backwards and forwards and so Peggy got her camera out to take these pictures. The chick must have known there was a photo opportunity as they then jumped out onto the patio! It was just so adorable. We left it alone for a bit and then when we came out again a bit later it was gone. We hope it went somewhere safe; we very much enjoyed sharing the first few days of its life.
