Campfire cooking at forest school

We love cooking at forest school. Now the girls are older and less inclined to make dens and play imaginary games in the trees, we’ve turned to a greater focus on skills around the fire. In autumn term, the girls and their friends were challenged with making some dishes for everyone to enjoy and they rose to that challenge brilliantly. They not only had to prepare the ingredients and cook them but they also had to keep the fire going too. Here’s what they made from scratch around the fire:

Veggie chilli and cheesy nachos
