Peggy the wardrobe maker!

Peggy has researched, designed, built and painted a wardrobe for her teddy Tinsel! Peggy just loves working with wood and so we thought we’d get the professionals in to help her achieve what she’d sketched out many, many times over many months. Laura at Hepp DT guided Peggy through the entire process in four private ... Read more

RHS Garden Bridgewater

On such a gorgeous sunny day, we ventured out to the new RHS Garden Bridgewater in Salford with Grandma. We went armed with our cameras so the girls would be kept entertained whilst us grown-ups appreciated the gardens. The girls took some amazing pictures, especially Peggy. We were there for a good couple of hours ... Read more

Fake wounds with a professional

Brownie crafts

Peggy has had several more online Brownie meetings. They had a visitor to teach them how to do fingerprint art and then the next week they hand-sewed Easter bunnies. Thank you Chestnut Owl for such a great term and for all you do for Brownies.

The eyes have it

Today we delved into some details by attempting to draw a detailed version of a human eye. We used a really great 10-minute tutorial on YouTube, narrated by ... Read more

Call th’ ambulance!

We had a go at some fake wounds with a good degree of success! Aggie watched some YouTube videos on how best to do it and then Mummy and Daddy joined in too (Peggy doesn’t do any form of blood, pretend or real). We used tissue paper, Vaseline, red face paint, ketchup and cocoa powder. ... Read more

Drawing Faces

The girls have requested to do more art this year, so we made a start today with drawing faces. Using a Twinkl worksheet (How To Draw A Face), we first drew an oval. We then drew a faint vertical line down the middle of the oval to give us a centre point. Next, we drew ... Read more
