Peggy goes to NSSO

My tuba Tony and I spent a week at the National School Symphony Orchestra at Malvern College. This is what I thought about the experience. Spoiler alert: I loved it, and can't wait to go again next year.

My first gymnastics competition!

In October, I competed in a gymnastics competition at my club. This was my first ever competition, and the last time I’d be competing before I joined my new senior advanced class. It was a really great day and I had lots of fun. I got silver on floor with my routine consisting of moves ... Read more

RNCM Brass workshops

For a few months now, I have been going to the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in Manchester for middle and lower brass workshops. A lot of my friends from Dobcross Band go too, so we have a lot of fun. We pick a piece to do together and work on it for a ... Read more

Brownie crafts

Peggy has had several more online Brownie meetings. They had a visitor to teach them how to do fingerprint art and then the next week they hand-sewed Easter bunnies. Thank you Chestnut Owl for such a great term and for all you do for Brownies.

A morning of kayaking

Via the wonders of Facebook, we found out about the Debdale Outdoor Activity Centre in Gorton, Manchester. They offer three-hour sailing, windsurfing and kayaking sessions for just £10 each and, during some holidays, some sessions are cheaper or even free. Our girls absolutely loved their first session and definitely want to return.
